Experience

Erik is a multifamily and land specialist with 10 years of experience as a private investor, developer, construction manager and commercial broker. Prior to joining NAI Maestas & Ward, he co-founded and functioned as the qualifying broker for SB Vegas Realty in Albuquerque where he managed the business and successfully brokered more than $30 million in commercial and residential transactions. He received a Bachelor degree in Government from The College of William & Mary and has dual Masters degrees in Business Management and Security Management from Webster University.

As an investor and partner in 12 real estate-based partnerships throughout the Southwest, Erik has acquired strong analytical skills, effective sales and marketing strategies, and an ability to evaluate different multifamily scenarios with an “ownership” point of view to assist his clients in finding appropriate and lucrative properties for investment. He has developed, owned and sold more than 250,000 square feet of commercial buildings and more than $14M in privately owned real estate assets.

He has personally planned, developed and managed the construction of 135,000 square feet of office warehouse business centers in Albuquerque, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas. Erik is also a 5-year veteran (Captain) of the United States Air Force where he culminated his career as Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, DC’s lead VIP briefing officer for the White House and Pentagon.
