Alfredo Barrenechea
Experience
Alfredo Barrenechea joined NAI Maestas & Ward in April 2011as a real estate professional specializing in the leasing and sale of retail properties. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, graduated with distinction from the University of New Mexico with a Masters in Electrical Engineering (Microelectronic Design) and has taken numerous management and business courses from UNM’s Robert O. Anderson Schools of Management. Alfredo, who previously worked at Intel and Philips Semiconductors, has been a real estate investment guest lecturer at Central New Mexico Community College and is a member of numerous community boards and organizations including Nob Hill Mainstreet, for whom he chairs the annual Route 66 Summerfest event.
Alfredo has a comprehensive background in project management and real estate development having served as the principal and project manager for Cielo Land Development Company. He has participated in the acquisition, development and zoning of infill real estate projects that required zone changes and intricate negotiations with land owners, the city and neighborhood organizations. With extensive experience in real estate entitlement and development, Alfredo has successfully managed teams of planners, architects, engineers and construction managers; personally overseen staff, budgets, and consultants and contractor activities to bring simultaneous projects from conception to completion. While employed as a product engineer with Intel, he developed a range of skills that include marketing, organizational development, effective communication and negotiating skills, budget preparation and financial modeling, technical problem solving, and leadership skills.
