Experience

After receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship in 2010 from the University of Texas at San Antonio, Clayton joined NAI Maestas & Ward as an advisor in 2011. While pursuing his degree, he worked at the Starwood Hotels and Resorts where he held numerous positions and won company recognition as a customer service professional focusing on problem resolution and the delivery of quality customer service to all guests.

Simultaneously, Clayton worked as an intern at Cross & Company, a full service commercial real estate firm in San Antonio, where he successfully completed a series of critical projects that gave the company a competitive advantage over other companies in the area. He was responsible for a marketing research project that resulted in the creation of an office building tenant database for more than 50 buildings and complexes in San Antonio. To assist the company’s commercial real estate brokers, Clayton also compiled a spreadsheet of sale/lease comparables that allowed the brokers to have better access to information on sale/lease pricing and lease termination information. And finally, he built and coded a custom business Facebook page for Cross & Company that allowed the company to use cutting edge social media to maintain and establish relationships with clients and other professionals in the real estate industry.

Clayton is also a partner in a technology venture that won The University of Texas at San Antonio’s prestigious $100K Student Technology Venture Competition. His skill in assessing marketplace needs and identifying appropriate solutions combined with his attention to detail resulted in an excellent business plan and strong financial analysis that guaranteed a successful endeavor. As evidenced by his entrepreneurial outlook, technological competence and problem solving capabilities, Clayton’s clients will benefit from his ability to research new business potential and present viable alternatives.
