Joining NAI Maestas and Ward in 2012, John brings his 27 years’ experience from a
career in law, then real estate and development to the firm. After receiving his Juris
Doctorate from the University of Kansas and legal practice in Colorado, John came to
New Mexico in 1988 to serve the restructuring, then liquidation, of development properties
for PNM’s commercial holding subsidiaries in five western states. Other notable domestic
and international transactions for public and private companies have ranged from resort
developments and aviation related properties in the Rocky Mountain West and South
America to federal and provincial leases of oil shales and oil sands in Western Colorado
and Northern Alberta.
Concentrating in investments and sales, John represents owners, buyers and investors,
together with landlords and tenants. In today’s challenging market, John’s wealth of
experience in commercial and industrial transactions, securities, restructurings, workouts,
foreclosures and distressed properties is of great benefit and added value to his clients.
John has been recognized for his ability to negotiate, litigate, structure and close simple
and complex transactions.
Attention to detail and communication are the cardinal points of John’s client representation.
John exceeds his clients’ expectations that they realize the best value for and highest
return on their assets.
